About AASI

We are a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and empowering African students in India. Our main objectives are to unite African students and to address any challenges or problems they may face while studying abroad. As a diverse and vibrant community, we offer a range of programs and services to help African students feel connected and supported. These include academic support, cultural events, and social activities that help students feel at home in India.

The Association of African Students in India was founded by the late President of Malawi, ‘His Excellency Prof. Dr. Bingu Wa Mutharika’ who was relatively a student at that time at the University of Delhi at Shir Ram College of Commerce. Although the association hit halt for quite some time, thanks to Mr. Emmanuel Earl Ankrah, who in 2010 was able to revive the nonprofit organisation, it still holds firm today.

AASI Jaipur Chapter was launched officially in the year 2016. Ever since, not only are we the fastest-growing chapter, but also foremost, when it comes to uniting Africans from various countries with each other, we have been able to create a network of people who are both socially and knowledgeably inclined, which in turn helps us aid each other to cope with every situation thrown at us.

In addition to these programs, we also offer a variety of resources to help African students succeed in their studies. This includes access to mentorship and career development opportunities, as well as information about scholarships and financial aid. We are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of African students in India and are grateful for the support of our donors and volunteers. If you are interested in getting involved with our organisation, we encourage you to contact us or visit our website to learn more.

Thank you for choosing to support the Association of African Students in India. We look forward to continuing to serve and empower our community of African students in India.
